Ingredients:

  • 50 gm rice
  • 5 gm cardamom powder
  • 1 litre milk
  • 50 gm cashew nuts
  • 100 gm sugar
  • 25 gm raisins
  • 50 ml ghee(clarified butter)

How to Make Paal Payasam:

  1. First wash and soak the rice for 1/2 an hour.
  2. Then cook the rice in milk until soft.
  3. After that add there cardamom powder, sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Heat ghee in a pan.
  5. Then add the cashew nuts into it.
  6. When the cashew nuts will be slightly golden, add the raisins and saute for 1 minute.
  7. Then pour on the rice mixture.
  8. After that serve warm.
